My name is Nemonte Nenquimo. I am a Waorani woman, a mother, and an Amazon activist.

Right now, Ecuador is trying to quietly auction off more than 3 million hectares of rainforest to oil companies.

This land isn't empty, it's alive! It vibrates with the scent of rain-soaked soil, our elders' wisdom, and our children's laughter. This is our home.

But if Ecuador succeeds, our forests could fall silent. We would forever lose the lifeblood that has sustained us for centuries. So we've decided to sue the country.

In a few weeks, the Waorani and other Indigenous peoples will hold a major demonstration in the capital to demand that the Constitutional Court block the illegal sale of our lands. However, mobilizing entire communities from remote regions of the Amazon is costly. We urgently need your support.
